Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Grade Sight (“we”) provides a service that analyzes uploaded math assessments and tracks error patterns over time. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect

Account information. Name, email address, and sign-in credentials, handled by our authentication provider. If you subscribe, payment is handled by our payment processor; we do not receive full card numbers.

Student information you provide. A student first name or label, uploaded assessment images, the diagnostic categories assigned per problem, and the timestamp and subject area of each assessment. The service is designed so uploads don't need to identify a student — the first name is optional, and initials or a nickname work fine.

Usage information. Product analytics about how the service is used (pages visited, features used), collected through a service provider. IP addresses are not stored with analytics events. Standard server logs.

How we use it

To provide the service — analyzing assessments, tracking patterns, running accounts and billing — plus responding to support requests, maintaining security, and improving the product.

What we don't do

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use student information for advertising or for marketing to students.

Service providers

We use a small number of service providers to run Grade Sight: hosting and content delivery, authentication, payment processing, an AI processing provider that analyzes uploaded assessments, and product analytics. Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

Children

Grade Sight accounts are for adults — teachers, parents, and tutors. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Student information enters the service only when an adult account holder uploads it.

Student records

When a teacher or school uses Grade Sight with student data, we process it to provide the service to that user. Schools and districts that require a signed data privacy agreement can contact us at [email protected].

Storage and security

Data is processed and stored in United States data-center regions and is encrypted in transit and at rest. Assessment data is retained while your account is active.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information. You can exercise these rights from your account settings or by emailing [email protected]. We respond within the time required by law, and we don't treat you differently for exercising privacy rights.

Because we do not sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms, there is no sale or sharing to opt out of.

Account deletion

Deleting your account removes your data from active systems, with residual copies removed from backups in the ordinary course of our backup cycle.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the date above changes when we do. Material changes will be communicated to account holders.
